Bulleit price Malaysia list (October 2026)
We checked the same shops as for every other American whiskey on this site. Bulleit turned up far less often than brands like Jim Beam or Jack Daniel's. So treat the Bulleit price in Malaysia below as a guide only.
| Expression | Size | ABV | Typical price | Lowest seen* | Seen at |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rye | 70cl | 45% | RM175 | – | Mr Chow (online discounter) only |
| 10 Year Old | 70cl | 45.6% | RM190 | – | Mr Chow (online discounter) only |
| Bourbon | 75cl | 45% | RM269 | – | Blue Ocean |
Typical price is the range at mainstream Malaysian retailers for a standard 70cl or 75cl bottle, checked in October 2026. *Lowest seen is the cheapest online discounter listing. It may be a different bottle size or parallel-import stock. Prices change often, so confirm with the retailer before you buy.
Here is the honest picture. Bulleit Bourbon had one mainstream listing, at Blue Ocean, and that page showed out of stock. Bulleit Rye and Bulleit 10 Year appeared only at Mr Chow, an online discounter, so their prices count as limited availability. Discounters may also sell parallel imports or other bottle sizes. For example, Mr Chow listed a 1L Bulleit Bourbon, also out of stock.
The story of Bulleit
The brand traces its roots to Augustus Bulleit, who made whiskey in Kentucky around 1830. However, the modern brand began in 1987, when his descendant Tom Bulleit revived the name. Seagram bought it in 1997, and Diageo took over in the early 2000s.
Then, in 2017, Bulleit opened its own distillery in Shelbyville, Kentucky. The official Bulleit site describes the bourbon as bold and spicy because of its high rye content.
Why rye matters in Bulleit
All bourbon must be mostly corn. Most brands then add rye or wheat as a flavour grain. Bulleit Bourbon uses about 28% rye, which is high for a bourbon. As a result, it tastes drier and spicier than a soft, wheated bourbon like Maker's Mark.
Bulleit Rye goes further, at 95% rye and 5% malted barley. That makes it a true rye whiskey, not a bourbon. Our rye whiskey guide explains the difference, and our bourbon whiskey guide covers the bourbon rules.

The Bulleit range and tasting notes
Three Bulleit bottles turned up in Malaysia. The notes below draw on the brand's own descriptions and the well-known style of each whiskey. Each Bulleit price in Malaysia quoted here comes from the table above.
Bulleit Bourbon
The flagship sits at 45% ABV. It is spicy and fairly dry for a bourbon, with maple and oak. While it is fine neat, it really suits an Old Fashioned or a Whiskey Sour.
Woody and lightly smoky, with a hint of spice.
Maple, oak and nutmeg, with light toffee.
Clean and smooth.
Bulleit Rye
Bulleit Rye is also 45% ABV. Because it is almost all rye, it tastes brighter and spicier than the bourbon. It suits a Manhattan well. At RM175, this Bulleit price in Malaysia came from a discounter listing that showed out of stock.
Sweet maple and oak, with dried fruit.
Smooth entry, then rye spice with maple and oak.
Long and peppery.
Bulleit 10 Year Old
This bottle uses the same grain recipe as Bulleit Bourbon but spends at least ten years in oak. So it has deeper oak and caramel, with softer spice. The only listing we found was at a discounter, at RM190.
Oak, caramel and dried fruit.
Rich and rounded, with vanilla and gentle spice.
Long and oaky.

Good alternatives you can actually find

- Woodford Reserve Rye: spicy and rich, at RM300–RM351.
- Jim Beam White Label: a cheaper, easy-going bourbon, at RM179–RM219.
- Jack Daniel's Old No.7: softer and sweeter, at RM195–RM229.
How to drink Bulleit
Bulleit's spice makes it a natural cocktail whiskey. For example, the IBA Old Fashioned uses 45 ml of bourbon or rye, a sugar cube, a few dashes of Angostura bitters and a splash of water. Find more recipes in our whisky cocktails guide. If you sip it neat, add a few drops of water to soften the pepper, and pace yourself.
