Glenmorangie price Malaysia: the full range

The table lists each Glenmorangie we found at Malaysian retailers. "Typical" is the range at mainstream shops such as whisky.my and W Wine & Liquor Warehouse. "Lowest seen" is the cheapest listing at an online discounter. Those bottles may be parallel imports or a different size, so they are not always a fair match.

Typical price is the range at mainstream Malaysian retailers for a standard 70cl or 75cl bottle, checked in October 2026. *Lowest seen is the cheapest online discounter listing. It may be a different bottle size or parallel-import stock. Prices change often, so confirm with the retailer before you buy.

So the Glenmorangie price in Malaysia stays under RM500 for most of the range. However, Quinta Ruban and Nectar d'Or appeared at only one mainstream shop, so stock may be patchy. Call ahead if you want a specific bottle.

A short history of Glenmorangie

According to LVMH, farmer William Matheson and his wife Anne founded Glenmorangie in 1843. The distillery sits at Tain, in the far north of the Scottish Highlands. It draws mineral-rich water from the Tarlogie Spring.

The distillery's best-known feature is its stills. At 5.14 metres, they are the tallest in Scotland. Because the necks are so tall, only the lightest vapours reach the top. As a result, the new spirit tastes delicate and fruity. Glenmorangie then builds on that base with bourbon casks and a wide range of wine and fortified-wine casks.

Glenmorangie expressions sold in Malaysia

Malaysian shops stock the core range and its cask finishes. Note that the brand has updated several labels recently, which affects the Glenmorangie price in Malaysia as new stock arrives. Here is how each bottle tastes, in general terms.

Glenmorangie The Original

The Original matures only in bourbon casks. Local shops still list it as a 10 Year Old. However, the Glenmorangie site now sells The Original at 12 years old. So you may see either label here for a while.

Nose

Citrus, peach and vanilla.

Palate

Honey, orange and creamy vanilla.

Finish

Clean, soft and fruity.

Glenmorangie The Lasanta 12

Lasanta ages in bourbon casks and sherry casks for 12 years. The sherry wood adds warmth and spice. At RM368–RM408, its Glenmorangie price in Malaysia is only a little above The Original.

Nose

Raisins, honeycomb and orange.

Palate

Chocolate-covered hazelnuts and toffee.

Finish

Warm, with a cinnamon edge.

Glenmorangie The Quinta Ruban 14

Quinta Ruban starts in bourbon casks, then ages further in port casks from Portugal. That gives it a darker, richer profile. In Malaysia we found it mainly at one specialist shop, at about RM459.

Nose

Dark chocolate, mint and orange.

Palate

Walnut, black pepper and mandarin.

Finish

Long, with chocolate and spice.

Glenmorangie Nectar d'Or

Nectar d'Or finishes in casks that held Sauternes, a sweet French white wine. So it tastes like a dessert in a glass. The brand has since launched an older version, The Nectar 16. Even so, local shops still list Nectar d'Or at about RM499.

Nose

Lemon tart, honey and spice.

Palate

Almond, nutmeg and toffee.

Finish

Sweet and gently spicy.

Glenmorangie 18 Year Old

The 18 combines soft bourbon-cask whisky with a share of Oloroso sherry cask whisky. It shows dried fruit and floral notes. Malaysian shops list it as "18 Extremely Rare", while the brand now calls its 18 "The Infinita".

Nose

Dried fruit, honey and flowers.

Palate

Figs, nuts and malt.

Finish

Sweet and lingering.

How to drink Glenmorangie

The Original is light enough for a highball with soda and ice. That works well in the Malaysian heat. Meanwhile, Lasanta, Quinta Ruban and Nectar d'Or show their cask character best neat or with a few drops of water. Try them side by side to see how each cask changes the same spirit.

A tulip-shaped glass helps you catch the aroma. Our whisky glasses guide explains the main shapes. Also, see how to drink whisky for tips on water and ice. As always, pace yourself and drink water too.

Is Glenmorangie good value?

For a first taste, The Original has the friendliest Glenmorangie price in Malaysia. It is also smooth and easy to find. If you like sweeter, richer malts, Lasanta gives you sherry character for a small step up in price. Also compare the Glenfiddich price guide and our best single malt list. Frequently asked questions

How much is Glenmorangie Original in Malaysia?

Glenmorangie Original 10 costs RM299–RM388 for 70cl at mainstream Malaysian shops in October 2026. Discounters sometimes list it lower, but that stock may be a different size.

Is Glenmorangie Original 10 or 12 years old?

Both labels exist. The brand's own site now sells The Original as a 12 Year Old, still matured in bourbon casks. Malaysian shops we checked still listed the older 10 Year Old label.

What is the difference between Lasanta and Quinta Ruban?

Lasanta 12 uses sherry casks, so it tastes of raisins, honey and spice. Quinta Ruban 14 uses port casks, so it leans towards dark chocolate, orange and mint.

Is Glenmorangie cheaper at KLIA duty-free?

It can be. Eraman's KLIA catalogue listed The Original at RM280 for a 1-litre bottle in October 2026. Per millilitre, that beats the 70cl shop price.

Who owns Glenmorangie?

Glenmorangie belongs to the LVMH luxury group, through its wines and spirits division. LVMH also owns Ardbeg on Islay.

Is Glenmorangie smoky?

No. The core range has no peat smoke. Its tall stills give a light, fruity spirit, and the cask finishes add sweetness or spice.
