Dewars price Malaysia: the full range
The table lists each Dewar's we found at Malaysian retailers. "Typical" is the range at mainstream shops such as whisky.my, W Wine & Liquor Warehouse and Jaya Grocer. "Lowest seen" is the cheapest online discounter listing. However, those bottles may be parallel imports or a different size, so they are not always a fair match.

Typical price is the range at mainstream Malaysian retailers for a standard 70cl or 75cl bottle, checked in October 2026. *Lowest seen is the cheapest online discounter listing. It may be a different bottle size or parallel-import stock. Prices change often, so confirm with the retailer before you buy.
Notice how close the 12 sits to White Label. In fact, the two ranges overlap at some shops. So the Dewar's price in Malaysia makes the 12 one of the best-value aged blends on the shelf.
A short history of Dewar's
John Dewar opened his own merchant shop on the High Street in Perth in 1846. According to the official Dewar's story, White Label followed in 1899. A.J. Cameron created it, and he was the first master blender from outside the Dewar family.
Today Bacardi owns Dewar's through John Dewar & Sons. Bacardi says Dewar's is "double aged for extra smoothness", a habit it dates back to 1881. Put simply, the blenders mix the whiskies and then return them to oak for a further rest. This lets the flavours settle together.
Aberfeldy: the home of Dewar's
John Alexander and Tommy Dewar, the founder's sons, built the Aberfeldy distillery in Perthshire. It has run since 1898. According to Aberfeldy, the brothers built it to supply the heart malt for their blends. Its honeyed, fruity spirit still shapes the Dewar's style. The Dewar's range in Malaysia
Malaysian shops carry three core bottles. The notes below follow the official tasting notes from Dewar's.
Dewar's White Label
White Label is the entry blend, at 40% ABV. It uses up to thirty single malt and grain whiskies. It is light and sweet, so it suits mixing. At RM188–RM230, some shops place it in our list of whisky under RM200.
Bright citrus, heather honey and pear.
Soft vanilla fudge, toffee and toasted oak.
Fresh, herbal and honeyed.
Dewar's 12
The 12 is a 40% blend. After the two-stage ageing, it also finishes in first-fill bourbon casks. That adds more vanilla and butterscotch. It costs RM228–RM259, so it is a smart upgrade from White Label.
Vanilla, citrus and orchard fruit.
Butterscotch, cereal and soft spice.
Gently smoky, with oak and honey.
Dewar's 15
The 15 is the smoothest of the three, again at 40%. It has a silky texture and more fruit. Expect to pay RM280–RM309. For sipping, it offers a lot of age for the money.
Honeyed fruit, vanilla and soft flowers.
Green apple, citrus, toffee and nuts.
Silky, with a light touch of smoke.
Dewar's at KLIA duty-free
Duty-free shops sell litre bottles. In October 2026, the Eraman KLIA catalogue listed Dewar's 15 at RM253 for 1L. That is less than a 75cl bottle costs in town. White Label 1L showed a 50% promotion at RM119, down from RM238. Promotions change often, so check before you fly. Our KLIA duty-free whisky guide explains the allowance.
Where to buy Dewar's in Malaysia
Whisky.my, W Wine & Liquor Warehouse and Jaya Grocer all list White Label and the 12. As a result, the Dewar's price in Malaysia is easy to compare across shops. Our guide on where to buy whisky in Malaysia lists more trusted sellers. You must be 21 or older to buy alcohol here.
How to drink Dewar's: the highball
Dewar's leans hard on the highball. Its official recipe uses 50ml of Dewar's 12 with 120ml of soda water. Fill a tall glass with ice, pour the whisky, then top up with soda. Stir once, gently. White Label works too, if you want a cheaper version.
By contrast, sip the 15 neat or with a few drops of water. Our guides on how to drink whisky and whisky cocktails have more serves. As always, enjoy it in moderation.
How Dewar's compares
White Label competes with Ballantine's Finest at RM193–RM209 and Johnnie Walker Red Label at RM183–RM213. White Label is the most honeyed of the three. Meanwhile, Dewar's 12 costs less than Johnnie Walker Black Label at RM248–RM269. Black Label has more smoke, while Dewar's 12 is softer. So if you want an aged blend on a budget, the Dewar's price in Malaysia is hard to beat. For more first bottles, see our whisky for beginners list.
